TracSeek: An Open-Source High-Concurrency Vehicle Tracking System based on Netty & JT808/JT1078 Protocol
Hi everyone,
I’d like to share an open-source project I’ve been following called Tracseek. It’s a high-performance vehicle dynamic monitoring system designed specifically for the JT/T 808 protocol (widely used for GPS trackers and commercial vehicle telematics).
What is Tracseek? It’s a simplified version of a commercial fleet management system, rebuilt for stability and scalability. It uses Netty 4.1 to handle massive concurrent connections from GPS terminals.
Key Features:
High Concurrency: Tested to support up to 136,000 terminals on a single 8-core/16GB gateway.
Protocol Support: Full support for JT/T 808 (2011, 2013, 2019 versions) including packet loss handling and retransmission.
Tech Stack: Java 8, Spring, Netty, Redis (Jedis), and MySQL.
Rich UI: Comes with a Vue 3 + Element Plus dashboard for real-time tracking, historical playback, and multi-vehicle monitoring.
Multi-language: Supports both English and Chinese.
Why use it?
If you are working on IoT, fleet management, or need to handle thousands of TCP/UDP connections for GPS devices, this project provides a very solid foundation. It separates the core protocol logic (jt808-core) from the API and database tasks, making it easy to customize.
